The Peer Support Centre is a group of dedicated student volunteers who provide welcoming, confidential, and empathetic peer-based support to students at Queen’s University. Students are encouraged to come and speak with our volunteers who will listen and offer support for any and all issues. As well, we can suggest resources available on campus and in the Kingston community.

The Peer Support Centre is a confidential service, but not an anonymous service. Please drop in to learn more about our confidentiality agreement.

We do not provide support over the phone, however, we are happy to answer questions about our hours, location, or events if you call in. If you are simply interested in making sure the volunteer is not in session before you come in you are more than welcome to call in and ask.

If you are looking for anonymous support, we recommend the following options:

  • Telephone Aid Line Kingston (available 7:00pm-3:00am, 613-544-1771)
  • Good2Talk (available 24-hours, 1-866-925-5454)
  • Addiction and Mental Health Services (24-hour crisis and emergency response, 613-544-4229)
  • Youth Line (available Sunday to Friday, 4:00 – 9:30 pm)
It's okay to be proud of your work even if it's not perfect.
